Manage & direct the promotions, public relations and execution of concert projects of the stations to the public and clients. Acts as a liaison with programming and sales to develop overall campaigns, themes, and marketing approaches.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Plan and develop station promotions. Coordinate activities of other departments involved in the execution of concert projects as well as station promotions, contests and remotes. Coordinate sales promotions / concert related projects and create promotion ideas to maximize revenue. Develop and oversee all promotional and contest initiatives of stations with Program Director of each station. Directly supervise employees in the Promotions department including but not limited to hiring, training, disciplining and appraising performance of employees. Represent station at community events, station events and station functions. Conduct weekly Promotions meeting and present promotional requests for approval from other departments within station. Ensure that all station contests are conducted within general contest rules and in accordance with FCC regulations and law. Handle all station advertising including TV, print and specialty advertising with station program director. Order and maintain all station merchandise for promotional giveaways. Write and distribute all company press releases that announce station promotions, awards and special recognition received in the community, new personnel and Clear Channel Radio local spirit events that are of a public service nature. Prepare and maintain budget for Promotions department. Prepare affidavits for clients attesting to the promotional announcements aired for a particular campaign. Execute station concert and entertainment projects as Event Coordinator/Event Production Manager with advance and on-site coordination for each station event.
Requirements / Qualifications:
College degree in Communications or Marketing preferred .
Minimum two years experience in broadcast marketing, public relations or related field.
Knowledge of all FCC rules an regulations related to broadcast marketing.
Ability to work under tight deadlines. Ability to work well with others. Ability to handle stress and related pressures.
Valid drivers license and dependable transportation.
Ability to frequently lift and /or move in excess of 50 pounds.
